This instrument was on display at a music educators' conference. Between the conference and getting back to the shop I was in a car accident with the instrument in the back seat (in its case). The bell was crunched, but the rest of the instrument came away unscathed. I straightened out the bell, made all needed adjustments, and the instrument plays good as new. From hearing the instrument or looking at it from the front, you wouldn't suspect it was anything other than A-stock. But there is scaring left from the damage, which is clearly visible looking at the back of the bell. The outside of the case sustained minor scratches/scuffs. This is a great bargain for someone who doesn't mind this defect! If you are concerned with looks, please consider another instrument. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
